Air Quality Statistics Database

Welcome to the UK Air Quality Statistics Database. These pages contain options for you to enter queries to the database and retrieve statistics relating to Air Quality in the UK from the present back to 1970.

The output of the query will be shown on your screen using minimum HTML,
and in comma separated format in order to make it easy to load the file into a spreadsheet once saved to your local machine.
To do this, you will need to set the file type to "Text" and the separator as "Comma" for Lotus, or rename the file to [NAME].csv for Excel.

The database contains tables of statistics relating to measured concentrations from the monitoring networks operated on behalf of the DEFRA, and also for estimates of emissions - the amount of pollution produced by a range of activites.

Emissions and concentration statistics shown in this database are National Statistics. National Statistics are produced to high professional standards set out in the National Statistics Code of Practice. They undergo regular quality assurance reviews to ensure that they meet customer needs. They are produced free from any political interference.

If there is a particular piece of data that you would like to see, or you would like data retrieved in a different way, contact us at aqinfo@aeat.co.uk and we will try to include it here.
