Sujith Kollamthodi - Sustainable Transport Practice Director

Sujith Kollamthodi has 14 years experience of working on transport-related issues and leading high profile transport studies, with particular expertise on transport emissions, low carbon vehicle technologies and fuels, environmental economics and policy analysis. Sujith has an extensive track record in carrying out work for the UK Government and the European Commission on transport-related sustainability issues, with expertise in road transport, railways, shipping, and aviation.

On behalf of the Committee on Climate Change (CCC), in 2008 Sujith led the development of a CO2 marginal abatement cost curve model covering the UK road transport sector. This model was used to inform the development of the emissions reduction targets set out in the UK's Climate Change Act, and has been subsequently used by the CCC to inform their annual progress reports. More recently, Sujith directed a major, high-profile study for the European Commission that focused on developing a long-term policy framework for reducing GHG emissions from the transport sector between now and 2050.
