In my role I…

Most recently I have been working as a Sales Process Co-ordinator at AEA. The principal function of my job is forecasting sales and managing the sales pipeline which is both an analytical role and one which involves a great deal of client interaction. On a day-to-day basis I arrange and attend sales governance meetings which involves meeting client managers to discuss current prospects.

I get information from client directors, to identify which prospects are coming up and the dates when they are likely to close. I produce the weekly orders sheet which is used by senior management, to help in their assessment of our current and future sales status. My role contributes to the wider sales team effectiveness and ensures that we understand and are aware of the bigger picture, which helps forecasting.

Highlights of the role…

Working as part of the wider sales enforcement team I get the opportunity to deal with people at all levels from my colleagues that I work closely with to senior management. I also really enjoy the analytical aspect of the role as I have to study the figures produced by the sales reports that I coordinate. Working within a sales environment, I get a great deal of satisfaction from making a quick turnaround on deadlines and actually really enjoy the pressure that this brings.

The best thing about working at AEA…

There is a great culture at AEA which continues to grow as more people join the company. There is a really positive vibe that the company is a progressive environment to work in. For new graduates and technical specialists in particular the company has a lot to offer and can be a springboard to a great career.

Since joining AEA I have learnt…

I have really developed my people management skills since joining AEA which is now a great attribute. Learning to use a variety of systems within the business has been a really important aspect of my day-to-day skills and I could not perform my job without these skills.
