

AEA has appointed Sarah Bull as Senior Environmental Consultant in Toxicology. Sarah will provide expertise on the toxicology and risk assessment of contaminated land, air, water and waste, as well as in emergency response.
Prior to joining AEA, Sarah worked for the Health Protection Agency (HPA) as a Senior Toxicologist, responsible for providing high level policy and scientific advice on environment and health issues.
Commenting on her appointment, Sarah Bull, Senior Environmental Consultant in Toxicology said:
“Determining the potential harmful effects of chemicals is important in promoting and protecting human health and wellbeing. AEA, as one of the foremost government environment advisors, are developing their toxicology business and I am delighted to be able to take this role to contribute to their expansion in this field and to develop further understanding in this area of science.”
She has also worked with DEFRA, the Drinking Water Inspectorate and the Environment Agency as well as water companies and local authorities carrying out risk assessments and providing advice on the health effects of chemicals in drinking water, consumer products and contaminated land. She brings a total of 16 years experience working in areas including veterinary, regulatory and in vitro toxicology.
Sarah has a PhD in toxicology and lectures on a number of toxicology and environment and public health MSc courses. She is also a scientific reviewer for several scientific journals.
